Preparation for Obesity Surgery
To perform a safe bariatric procedure, we submit each patient to a thorough pre operatory examination and preparation process.
As part of a complete preoperatory work we schedule comprehensive evaluations by our obesity specialists:
- Obesity Surgeon
- Internist
- Nutritionist
- Psychologist
In some cases, it is necessary to have more specialists involved in the preparation process, for example:
- Pneumologist, cardiologist, endocrinologist, pediatrician (patients aged betwen 15 to 18 years), gynecologist, and so on.
After the evaluation of this “Multidisciplinary Team” we can:
- Control diseases you already know that you have, for example:
- Diabetes
- Hypertension
- High cholesterol and triglycerides
- Others
- Detect and control diseases that you do not know you suffer and might be “asleep”.
Remember that your health must be in perfect condition before undergoing any elective or scheduled procedure.
